Sales for the memoir attributed to the late model, Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice, from the Other Side…skyrocketed after Combs’ arrest. It quickly disappeared from Amazon’s website and is no longer sold. So why exactly was the alleged memoir pulled from shelves?

Kim Porter’s Alleged Memoirs Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice from the Other Side…, was released on Amazon in early September. The release came just a week before Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested on numerous charges. Although it didn’t initially attract much interest, news of Diddy’s arrest sent sales of the memoir through the roof before the retailer quickly moved on it.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Amazon removed the book from its catalog due to concerns about its authenticity. Porter’s children came forward after the memoir was released, insisting that their mother never wrote a book and that all diary claims are false. The author of the book claimed that he received documents and notes from two industry insiders as source material for the book. He did not reveal who provided him with the material, but did tell the Associated Press that his sources were close confidantes of both Porter and Combs.

How did Kim Porter die?

Kim Porter died in November 2018 at her home in Toluca Lake, California. She was just a month away from her 48th birthday. According to several sources, the model had flu-like symptoms, including fever and sore throat, for several days before her death. An autopsy revealed that the mother of four died of lobar pneumonia. The form of bacterial pneumonia can be serious and extremely dangerous, especially for people with comorbidities. Porter was reportedly not treated with antibiotics, a typical treatment for pneumonia, before her death.

Although the coroner ruled Kim Porter’s death as pneumonia, meaning she died of natural causes, not everyone believes that after Diddy’s arrest. According to Billboard, Porter’s ex-husband, Al B. Sure! calls for an investigation into her death and suggests she was murdered to silence her. Certainly! Theorizes that Porter knew enough about Diddy’s criminal behavior to bring down his empire. The controversial memoir also suggests that Porter’s death was caused by foul play.
