Emma Chamberlain and Peter McPoland are going Instagram official on Halloween

Emma Chamberlain and Peter McPoland appear to be taking their relationship to the next level.

After months of dating rumors, the YouTuber star and her rumored musician boyfriend seemingly made their relationship Instagram official with a post showing off their matching Wallace & Gromit costumes on Halloween.

Chamberlain, 23, posted a carousel to her page on Oct. 31 with a collection of photos showcasing her stylish take on Wallace from the British stop-motion animated comedy franchise. One of the images showed a zoomed-in shot of the “Hello, my name is Gromit” name tag.

Although the cropped photo of the intelligent anthropomorphic beagle’s name tag did not depict the person’s face, McPoland uploaded his own Instagram carousel, showing off his costume as Gromit in full. “someone let the dog out…😈🔥,” the 23-year-old singer-songwriter captioned his post.

Each of the posts was full of comments speculating that this was the couple’s subtle way of making their romance official. “Emma gently launches her tulle,” one user wrote on Chamerlain’s post. “Love the validation of dating Emma ;)” wrote another on McPoland’s.

In classic Chamberlain fashion, the chic content creator’s interpretation of Wallace’s ensemble was stylish nonetheless. The look essentially echoed the closet staples often worn by Chamberlain, who has become synonymous with her often thrifted and vintage sweaters over the years.

The platinum blonde, pixie-cut Chamberlain wore the character’s iconic green sweater vest over a classic white collar shirt, red tie and brown pleated shirt. She dressed up with a “Hello, my name is Wallace” name tag and simple hoop earrings.

McPoland wore a white fluffy zip-up onesie, complete with hood and dog ears attached. He brought home the pup’s look with a dot of black face paint on his nose and the Gromit name tag.

The musician, signed to Columbia Records and known for his alternative indie sound, accessorized his costume with a pair of black Converse and included in his Instagram feed a photo of himself strapped to an electric guitar.

Despite their matching couple, they apparently didn’t pose for photos together. Chamberlain stepped out to attend Vas J. Morgan and Michael Braun’s 2024 Halloween party in Los Angeles, though it’s unclear whether McPoland joined her at the spooky soirée.

Chamberlain and McPoland’s Halloween moment is the latest fuel for romance rumors, which have been swirling since they were first spotted together in New York City in May 2024. The couple has stepped out next to each other numerous times in the months that followed.

After their spot near Rockefeller Center, the duo was spotted at the Kilby Block Party music festival in Utah later that month. They made their first public appearance together at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in July, although neither has confirmed their relationship.

Chamberlain and McPoland were spotted with the social media star’s father, Michael, at an event hosted by Ralph Lauren. They were later photographed side by side the next day at the Olympic Games artistic gymnastics tournament.

Chamberlain, who has been in the public eye since her YouTube fame, previously dated musician Tucker Pillsbury, artistically known as Role Model, for three years before they split in October 2023.

McPoland, meanwhile, has kept his personal life out of the public eye.
