Bryant wraps up his road trip Monday night in Drexel

SMITHFIELD, RI – The Bryant men’s basketball team wraps up its season-long, seven-game road trip Monday night when it faces Drexel in Philadelphia. Tip time is set at 7:00 PM

Bryant enters Monday with a 4-3 record after going 3-3 in the first six games of the seven-game road trip. The Bulldogs return to the Chace to host Brown on Friday, December 6.

BRYANT PARTICIPATES IN COKE CLASSIC

  • Bryant split a pair of games at the Coke Classic in Chattanooga, Tennessee, beating Tennessee State (97-85) on Tuesday before falling to Chattanooga (84-76) on Wednesday.
  • Rafael Pinzon led the way on Tuesday with 22 points Earl Timberlake posted a season-high 18 in Wednesday’s loss.

  1. Bryant is currently 3-3 on his six-game road trip and is averaging an 80.2 in those six games. The Bulldogs rank 14th in the country in blocks per game (5.9) and 19th in rebounds per game.
  2. Earl Timberlake was named to the early-season watch list for the Lou Henson Award, presented annually to the best player in mid-major college basketball. Timberlake is averaging 13.8 ppg, 7.4 rpg and 5.1 apg this season. He ranks 63rd nationally in assists per game.
  3. Rafael Pinzon leads the Bulldogs with 17.6 ppg and is currently one of the top three-point threats in the country. He averages 2.75 3pFG per game and ranks 10th nationally in 3pFG percentage, at a blistering 55 percent. Pinzon was 8 of 11 in two matches at the Coke Classic.
  4. Connor Withers has 949 points, 591 rebounds, 225 assists, 135 blocks and 148 steals in 122 career games. Withers is one of four Bulldogs in double figures this season with 10.8 per game. He also averages 1.8 apg, 1.8 spg and 1.8 apg.
  5. Barry Evans is Bryant’s fourth double-digit scorer, averaging 13.5 ppg on the year. He is shooting 50 percent from the field and 45 percent from beyond the arc this season. Evans also contributes 6.4 rpg and 2.6 apg.
